Secretariat Developing
In 1981, KYCA acquired plots of lands for the building of its Secretariat which is currently being developed to a Conference facility. Work on the construction of the secretariat began since 2010. The construction of the conference facility would have a significant impact on the associations’ activities and the surrounding environment. The secretariat development project will also ensure seamless coordination of KYCA activities.
The Secretariat development project is handled by a standing committee known as the Estate Committee, with volunteer professionals in different fields of construction technology. The project is estimated to cost N....................million (Current estimate). The work is divided into three phases: The first phase is the foundation level, which has been completed, the second phase is the rising of column/pillars which is currently in progress and the final phase is the roofing of the conference facility.
KYCA Bookshop
The bookshop provides Christian literatures and other stationery to the nearby communities.
KYCA Nursery and Primary School
The school system in the land is increasingly challenged with many complex problems. In order to address some of these challenges, Kataf Youth Christian Association established a Nursery and Primary School, located at Gora Gida. The school aimed at providing quality education and restoring the lost morals values of the education system in the Land.
The association recognises education as a catalyst for socio-economic and political development in the transformation of Atyap Land. Furthermore to effectively use education as a platform for reaching out to young boys and girls in the Land.
The school recorded huge successes over the past years, for example, the school recently introduced junior secondary school section, and this indicates that the school is growing tremendously
